St. Thomas Aquinas' Day
March 7 was the feast of St. Thomas Aquinas, patron of Catholic schools. This meant a day "off" for us students. :) There was a Solemn High Mass followed by the Academic Act - at which the day's only lesson was given and awards were presented for academic excellence and perfect attendance. It was all over by about 11:30 am and the rest of the day was free. Here are some pictures. :D (Unfortunately, I was very near the back of the Church so the photos from Mass are all a bit distant.)

Fr. Griego giving the sermon...
the Elevation...
Fr. Heggenberger, Dr. Berfanger, Fr. Griego, and Mrs. Haynos on the stage, while visiting speaker Dr. Michael Allen, Ph.D. gave the conference...

Great pictures, Monnie! Does anyone else have some to contribute also for St. Thomas' Feast?
I love the post while the first retreat is going on. Next week will be something else again! This time of year must always be fascinating for the teachers!
Thanks so much for posting,
CollegeMom
