Boys' Jog-a-Thon Pictures, At Last!

Fr. Heggenberger, running with the boys

Nick (the yellow-shirted fellow on the left) didn't have any pledges per lap and he still ran 17 laps (4.25 miles)!!

Coming down the backstretch! :)

It was hard to miss Albert in those shorts! :P

Nearing the end, and running out of steam.

The most laps among the college men were run by Chris Pedersen: he totalled 32 laps (or 8 miles in one hour)!!

I know that it has been entirely too long since pictures were put up here but I promise to catch up this summer! :) Hopefully sooner than later. Thanks for checking back~

Jog-a-Thon!!

The annual Jog-a-Thon... or should I say, Jog-a-Ton? :D

The top runner in the college for the boys was Chris Pedersen with 32 laps (or 8 miles in one hour) and for the girls was Megan Maguire with 24 laps (or 6 miles in one hour). Here are some of the pictures from before and after the girls' JAT. I'll try to have the boys' up soon....

Waiting for the high school girls to arrive at the park...

Boys' Retreat Week

Well, the college boys... or should I say men? ...are on retreat this week. The place is a whole lot more quiet without them around. :D It definitely has a different atmosphere, as one would expect. :) But what is the general attitude of the girls this week?? This... :P

St. Thomas Aquinas' Day

March 7 was the feast of St. Thomas Aquinas, patron of Catholic schools. This meant a day "off" for us students. :) There was a Solemn High Mass followed by the Academic Act - at which the day's only lesson was given and awards were presented for academic excellence and perfect attendance. It was all over by about 11:30 am and the rest of the day was free. Here are some pictures. :D (Unfortunately, I was very near the back of the Church so the photos from Mass are all a bit distant.)

Canisius Cup

March 1-4, 2006 a dozen or so hard-core table-tennis players from SMC played to win the prestigious Canisius Cup. Competition was fierce, and even though the spectators were kind of sparse (!), everyone had one heck of a time. Coming out on top of the two pools of players were Albert "Baaaa" Darakjy, Will "Destruction Derby" Kimball, Larry "Hosehead" Barrett, and Joe "Canada" Stannus. After the ensuing playoff rounds, somehow it ended up being me (Will) and Joe in the championship game. It was pretty crazy because I had just beat Joe 2 games in a row to get the the championship game, which was not really supposed to happen. Anyway, Joe ended up winning 3 games in a row against me and gained the championship and the Canisius Cup (which actually doesnt exist!). Way to go, Joe!

Here are some photos, courtesy of me, Monnie, and Dave:
